So this wednesday I walked into my store, just checking to see if there's anything worth buying. there's nothing. but anyways, I browse around and decide to buy one of the volumes of 'dykes to watch out for'.
Once in the cash register, there they are: SiP Collectible cards.
My first reaction: What the F*&^?! I don't remember this cards being promoted or anything! how did this happen? and then I thought: HUZZAH! *does patented Dano happy dance*
It's a 90 Card set, and as far as I can see, it's just recounting the comic's two first volumes or something of the sorts. So what's this about, Terry? I figured that maybe the store just found them lying around the back and that they had 'em from a while back or something, but my trusty comic book store guy tole me they just came out.. but they ain't advertised in the SiP store nor mention anywhere else.. so.. what gives??

Comic Images(I think) put the set out about the time vol #3 started up. They were sold in foil packs(10 cards a pack I think) in boxes of 24 packs(again, I think.) I bought a box when they came out. There were 2 special sets-chromium covers of 1-9 v2, and a "Medaillion' set of the covers 1-3 v1. I have no idea what a "Medallion Card' is other than rare-I got 2 sets, 5 chromiums, and 1 medallion card in my box.
What you bought Yazi is a factory set-often, long after a card set is released, the company that made it realizes they have a bunch of cards left, so they will bust the boxes(if they were packaged, sometimes they are left over sheets) and make sets. I saw the SiP sets solicited awhile back, and that's what you got.
Class dismissed.....

Usually a box makes two (and if you?re lucky three) complete sets. Chase cards might be a different story. See if that?s the case, you could make another SiPreader happpy if you wanted to.
I got to buy some nice sets, including the SiP one, from a comicstore that way. A guy used to buy a box he?d like, take a set and sell any other set and loose cards. For cheap. Got the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy card set that way.

Naw, I only got one full set and some nice chasers.
The incomplete sets will make nice decor, although if anybody need and extra SIP cards, I'll be happy to peddle them once I get them shipped back over here from my grandmother's.

Bummer. Could have know you?d check anyways. My brother did a nice collage with his spare ones. Helped him get into art school.
I just bought a complete set. I?ve got most of the chromium cards at a comic convention, but still have to find some. Any doubles in that department?

Don't forget about the chance to get a Terry Moore autograph in the box (which I was very lucky to get after ordering one box).

Actually Darth this was a box the comic shop had on a back shelf that they found. At least that is what they said.
